Laser Dermabrasion is the gentle ablation of the superficial layers of the skin to promote regeneration of the skin and cell turnover, resulting in a smoother more youthful look. These laser dermabrasion peels are used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin, softening fine lines & wrinkles, tightens enlarged pores and brightens sun spots. This treatment can be completely customized by controlling the depth and region of your treatments. This results in a treatment catered specifically to your needs.
Treatments can extend from light to medium exfoliation to deep collagen remodelling, ideal for patients who want dramatic rejuvenation effects, but are not inclined towards invasive surgical or chemical alternatives. Its a great option before trying any further aggressive or ablative laser treatments, and introduces the skin to a more gentler approach.
This 60 minute treatment is suitable for all skin types and tones, with minimal patient downtime. A couple days of mild redness and a few days peeling— you’re good to go!
How does it work?
We start the treatment off with Alumier’s Enzyme Retexturizing Treatment to exfoliate surface dead skin, decongest, and prep the skin before the laser. We then activate our Fotona Laser Machine for next-level facial treatment! The Fotona utilizes a unique dual-wavelength, non-invasive laser stimulation to gently heat the skin’s deeper layers while leaving the skin unharmed allowing safe, precisely controlled and effective delivery of laser pulses to the treatment area. This stimulates collagen-building in the skin which eventually helps plump and firm the tissue and prevent further skin laxity.
Following this step, comes the exfoliating laser peel. This is my favourite part! It helps slough off dead skin, polish the skin’s surface, soften fine lines & wrinkles, smooths texture and brightens complexion.
We finish this active treatment by soothing your skin with a calming and hydrating cream afterwards. Your skin will feel warm like a mild sunburn and a bit a tender. Once the cream is applied and the skin is cooled down, you’ll feel on top of your skincare game!
